Chris is an experienced team member with a unique combination of personable and technical skills. He leverages that knowledge and other management skills to develop fellow team members and direct reports as well as guide client’s through the audit process. Chris has served as an audit professional in public accounting for over five years, primarily working in the alternative investments space. Prior to joining Richey May, Chris worked as the Director of Finance for the University of Louisville’s Student Activities serving as an advisor and lead on student-run committees and university programming. He managed oversaw project management, operating budgets and worked with university leadership to put on numerous events through the year.

After serving as Director in the prior role, Chris worked as a financial analyst within the health care industry and assisted with ongoing compliance and regulatory reporting.

Chris started his audit career working with the Kentucky Department of Financial Institutions conduction regulatory audits for regional banks in the state. He collaborated on audits with the FDIC. As an Audit Lead, Chris primarily serves as the project leader on audits for privately held investment companies. He manages the workflow of projects and development of senior associates and new associates. He serves on the Thought Leadership and Crypto Committees for the AI practice. Chris was drawn to working in alternative investments due to his interest and background in financial markets. His strong work ethic, desire to succeed, and managing skills have helped him develop into the leader his today. Chris was born and raised in the Chicagoland area before living abroad in Sweden and eventually now residing in Denver, Colorado. In his free time, Chris plays ice hockey in a couple recreational leagues and enjoys traveling, playing music, going to live events (music/sports) and spending time with friends and family.
