Erik joined Richey May in 2014 following an 8-year tenure at Rothstein Kass. He specializes in serving clients across the financial services industry, including domestic and offshore hedge funds, commodity pools, master-feeder structures, ’40 Act funds and fund of funds. Erik advises clients on initial organizational structure, audit processes, management of operational matters, and valuation issues, specifically in relationship to ASC 820.
Erik has authored a number of articles on U.S. GAAP and regulatory compliance matters in the alternative investment industry. He has been active on internal best practice committees, helping to implement new processes and procedures in his workplace. Erik’s internal work also extends to planning firm-wide training initiatives.
Erik graduated from the University of Colorado, Boulder with a Bachelor of Science in business administration and an accounting emphasis. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), and the Colorado Society of Certified Public Accountants (COCPA). Erik is proud to say that he was born and raised in Colorado. In his spare time, he enjoys golfing and spending time with his wife Brea. Erik is also a member of the finance committee for his homeowners association.
