Freeman is a high energy and passionate person. He strives to provide exceptional service to his clients. He thrives off helping train other staff. He is able to identify each person’s unique qualities and skills and use them to their fullest potential. Freeman has nearly five years of experience in the alternative investments industry. He specializes in partnership tax and services hedge funds, fund of fund, and private equity entities. He has expertise in multi-state tax filings such as New York, New Jersey, California, Pennsylvania and many others. Through hard work, determination, and deep dedication Freeman has grown from a intern to a manager at Richey May.

Some say he bleeds blue since he is so passionate about the Richey May Way. Because of his years of experience and attention to detail he manages several large fund families and complicated fund entities. In his capacity as a Tax Manager at Richey May, Freeman leads the AI Tax Training Committee. This committee is responsible for new hire training, training material updates, and yearly AI Tax University. On a daily basis he communicates with clients, admins, and internal team members to provide exception client service. He reviews federal and state jurisdiction returns for accuracy. He is a active member of the Richey May Roots Committee and activity participates in Richey May Cares Foundation sponsored events. From a young age Freeman enjoyed helping people and working with numbers. Working as a tax accountant is a wonderful partnership of these passions. When interviewing with other firms Freeman felt like he was coming ‘home’ at Richey May. This feeling of ‘home’ and ‘family’ continues to be true several years later.

Freeman was born and raised in southeast Idaho and moved to Denver fives years ago. When he is not at work he enjoys baking in the kitchen, taking pictures, camping, star gazing, and attending concerts such as Celine Dion. Growing up in a small farming community instilled a solid work ethic from a young age. If he is not in Denver he is visiting his six siblings and 14+ nieces and nephews in southeast Idaho. Outside of work Freeman is very active in his Church and has held several prominent roles.
